After a lot of effort I will be able to show in the BFA Fall Graduating Artists show at Florida State University after all. The show is primarily for studio artists (who are required to participate to earn their BFA), but as a graphic designer I still love to participate in gallery events when I can. Opening night is April 9, 7:00-9:00 PM if you are in Tallahassee and would like to attend and meet the artists. If you can’t make it on the 9th, the show is open until April 29.
Unfortunately my computer died of old age about a year ago, and with it all the high-res images of some of my art. I’m currently trying to get some of my personal and school pieces off of it while still grabbing some of my projects from work to add to my portfolio. In the mean time I have some work up. I’m also working on the store, and I hope to have a small inventory of prints and whatnot by the summer.
Anyhow, I am currently in my last semester at Florida State University and am looking forward to graduation in May. After that I have no idea where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing, but without taking classes simultaneously with work I’m more likely have more time to draw for myself and to take commission work.
Here’s my new website! I decided to rebrand myself with a new logo and a cleaner site in place of Star Rust. Please bear with me as I get my portfolio set up. In the mean time, you can still find my work at starrust.com as well as my deviantART page.
